The Turning Point: From Frustration to Discovery

Starting Meicy Shea Beauty wasn’t just about creating skincare products; it was about finding a solution to a problem that had deeply impacted my life—acne. Like many of you, I, Kimeice, struggled with breakouts for years, constantly trying new products, hoping one of them would be the magic fix. But instead of relief, I often found myself with irritated, red, and even worse breakouts. My skin was crying out for help, but I couldn’t find anything gentle enough to heal it.

A few years ago, I struggled with cystic acne which affected her self confidence and daily happiness as those big, red bumps caused her lots of pain and agony. I started looking for solutions and attended a local market in Canada where I found an organic skin care moisturiser and soap set. After using them for a few weeks I noticed a chance in my skin. It started to improve but my skin would feel very dry after use. I decided to recreate the product but with less of the ingredients they required to reduce the harsh effect on my skin. I migrated from Canada to the United Kingdom and took a few months to settle in. While thinking of a way to move forward, I considered the idea of making skincare products for myself and for others to have better skin. I turned the idea into a business and now I'm sharing the products with the world.
